Session 2 - Sun, Jan 14
With Derp tied to a
beam in the stable, the Goblin Slayers decided to double back and check the
towers that dotted the perimeter wall.
They found another goblin or two, solidifying their name. They also cleared out the Trading Post of a
goblin and various supplies and sundries.
A crypt in the
graveyard drew their attention for about an hour. A heavy stone door resisted their attempts
to enter, but a crowbar, borrowed from the Trading Post, provided the needed
leverage and they entered the crypt. A
wooden coffin rested on a stone bier. It
held the skeletal remains of a man beneath a tattered burial shroud. They later found out that this is likely Lord
Nandar, the villages founder who died about a year ago.
Suffice it to say,
our heroes defeated all the goblins they faced and cleared out many of the remaining building in the village. They crossed over the
demolished bridge to the Keep and found 3 human guards who were guarding the
remains of the Lady Nandar who died when the roof of the great hall
collapsed. They also learned
- The villagers likely fled north to hide in some bat caves
- Some village guards are with them
- Four pale-skinned giants decended from the cloud castle, pried up the Nightstone and took their prize back to their lair in the sky
Our heroes agreed to
go to the cave to bring back the villagers.
Will our heroes find
the caves? Will they bring back
villagers or bodies? Will Derp fulfil his lifelong dream to be a drummer in heavy metal power trio?
