Man, are these guys stealthy. Ronan flicked a coin back onto the bridge and it ‘clinged’ on the stone. Cressaro turned but (rolled a 2) saw nothing. Ronan and Chamele were able to sneak through the door behind the Cressaro. He disappeared down the hallway and into the depths of the castle. A door slammed shut down the hallway and the movement of air nudged the door to their left open. In they crept. [Searched the ogre bedroom but found nothing…up the stairs] [Gallery of object d’arts. The crew nabbed some stuff…including a fancy-pants harp. Up the stairs.] [top floor covered in grass; piles of stones, several telescopes, 6 Aarakocra. Everyone sat around a table in a dark corner of the inn. A single candle throwing warm light and empty shadows. After outlining their objectives, Viari seemed almost envious of this job. A castle in the sky with a cloud giant Countess must be filled with treasures that would fill even Viari’s deep pockets. He suggested a magical HVSL approach…High Velocity Slow Landing. Jump from an airship and when close to impact invoke a feather fall spell, either potion or scroll. Sneak into the complex with stealth, find the conch, escape to the clouds edge and jump, invoking another feather fall. Much discussion followed and the big take-away was stealth would be an asset. With Chamele's pass-without-a-trace and some invisibility, they just might be able to pull this off. Off they went to a Viari-recommended Scrollery and juice bar. Two potions of invisibility and two potions of feather fall were purchased. All retired to an inn for the night. Two separate rooms for the girls and

The crew picked the cloud giant Duchess Sansuri who lives in a cloud castle called Lyn Armaal.  They were woken by the sound of stone grinding on stone followed by a loud stone crash.  When everyone went to the doors they were met by a gargantuan ancient blue dragon.  Harshnag told everyone to run while he ran toward the great beast, sword drawn.  Harshnag and the dragon were exchanging blows but Harshnag had no defense against the lightening breath weapon and he fell with smoke rising from his chest.  As the five humanoids, our heroes, were running for the north guard room, Ronan and Skithryx saw the blue dragon grab the trident from the storm giant statue, magically polymorph into a storm giant and touched the trident to the glyph on the portal arch for storm giants.  The portal activated and the giant or dragon stepped through.  The Tick and Ronan rushed to his side and gave him a healing potion and some magical healing. Maggie raced into the north guardroom, jumped up and pushe

The Voice of a Giant God - July 8th

Initial theories (Harshnag’s axe in the hands of the frost giant statue, etc) on how to activate the gateway did not work.  Everyone went into the south hall and found giant-sized tables and benches and a giant sized stone slab that seemed to be used for food preparation.  The air here was warm due to a seemingly perpetual fire burning in the middle of the room.  There was also a remoraz which immediately moved to attack.  Surprisingly, Harshnag was not as big a help as everyone may have hoped.  After the big bug was killed, they found a giant sized great axe leaning against the wall.  They immediately asked Harshnag, who agreed, to put the ax into the statue.  Nothing happened.  Maggie/Chamele suggested the glyphs were significant.  When the Frost giant great-axe was touched to the glyph for frost/snow the portal began to swirl with looked like thunder clouds.  They could make out a room beyond but no other details could be gleaned.  They all (not Harshnag) stepped through. They

Howling Wolf - May 27

15-Howling Wolf or One Werewolf Too Many Everyone woke up and discussed the howling from the night. Ronan’s rumbling stomach drove everyone downstairs for grub. The inn barroom was quite empty. The innkeeper brought out plates of deep-fried everything. Fried eggs, tomatoes, sausages and crispy bacon. Fried ham, potatoes and beans. Re-fried beans, even! Chalaska walked in and sat down with the crew to confirm their arrangements. A letter of introduction to Gorbitt Gnawshank was produced. Twenty-five gold pieces will be paid by Gorbitt on their arrival. The final 75 gold pieces awaits the wagons safe arrival in Triboar. The final instructions were as follows: do anything in your power within legal norms to safeguard the wagons and the contents therein and ensure the wagons and their contents safe arrival in Triboar. Gorbitt Gnawshank is ultimately reposibile for getting the wagons to Triboar, but he and his hired help require additional ‘muscle‘ to protect from bandit

A Blessing of Hill Giants doesn't sound right - May 20

Chamele heard a strange wailing sound in the night.  She awoke Skithryx and they decided that they should let everyone sleep.  Skithryx left the camp to get a higher vantage point and saw the top of a distant tower.  They investigated the next day.  They sent Scout the Tressem ahead to scout but he was attacked by a Blood Hawk which was quickly scared off by an arrow through the wing.  Ronan case Invisibility on Chamele and she snuck into the tower and found a very sad Hill Giant.  The giant jumped down and chamele ran outside.  The giant came out and everyone learned that Moog's husband, Hruk,  was stolen by Guh.  Chamele learned that Guh has taken all the husbands and driven the female hill giants out.  Guh was so big that she struck fear in the hearts of all the hill giants. Into the Valley - May 13

The next day everyone departed for the heart of the Dessarin Valley. A map and the locations of recent giant attacks will take them to Beliard.  They come across 3 stone giants who were dismantling an old dwarven ruin.  A friendly greeting from Chamele drew a stone thrown from 100’.  Everyone looked at the battered Chamele and promptly retreated to leave the giants to their deconstruction.  They continued to follow the river south.  From miles away they could see the great Stone Bridge that spanned the Dessarin River and they made their way to Beliard. Stone Bridge They met some swords-4-hire and thought some extra 'meat bags' would be helpful.  They engaged the services of a big, blue, amnesiac called 'The Tick' and a mountain dwarf called Groz Gravelmaul. They set out the next day and Chamele's keen eyes picked up the trail of some hill giants.  They followed the trail for some time and soon came upon a lone hill giant.  They decided to surround the gian
