Storm King's Thunder

Chamele heard a strange wailing sound in the night.  She awoke Skithryx and they decided that they should let everyone sleep.  Skithryx left the camp to get a higher vantage point and saw the top of a distant tower.  They investigated the next day.  They sent Scout the Tressem ahead to scout but he was attacked by a Blood Hawk which was quickly scared off by an arrow through the wing.  Ronan case Invisibility on Chamele and she snuck into the tower and found a very sad Hill Giant.  The giant jumped down and chamele ran outside.  The giant came out and everyone learned that Moog's husband, Hruk,  was stolen by Guh.  Chamele learned that Guh has taken all the husbands and driven the female hill giants out.  Guh was so big that she struck fear in the hearts of all the hill giants. The next day everyone departed for the heart of the Dessarin Valley. A map and the locations of recent giant attacks will take them to Beliard.  They come across 3 stone giants who were dismantling an old dwarven ruin.  A friendly greeting from Chamele drew a stone thrown from 100’.  Everyone looked at the battered Chamele and promptly retreated to leave the giants to their deconstruction.  They continued to follow the river south.  From miles away they could see the great Stone Bridge that spanned the Dessarin River and they made their way to Beliard. Stone Bridge They met some swords-4-hire and thought some extra 'meat bags' would be helpful.  They engaged the services of a big, blue, amnesiac called 'The Tick' and a mountain dwarf called Groz Gravelmaul. Ready to move on to the next adventure, everyone moved up to the teleportation circle.  One by one they all stepped into the circle and appeared at the other end.  Everyone but Skithryx.  Ronan rushed back to Everlund but he was not there.  "Send me somewhere.  Send me anywhere he might be", Ronan demanded. Skithryx appeared in a long, stone corridor.  Strange sounds echoing.  On his right, large openings face a mountain range and a strange landscape.  Muted grey rock.  Grey cloud but no blue in the sky, a strangely coloured sky.  At the end of the corridor, an open door.  Skithryx walked toward it.  A figure in shadows.  The echoing sounds louder.  He walked through the door. Skithryx's demonic eyes penetrated the gloom.  The figure appears tall wearing a cloak or hood.  He took a step forward and suddenly the figure went from 30' to only a few feet away.  The creature appeared to be a collection of...

Harpers Transportation Network The Marshall at Mirabar recommended that the crew visit the underground dwarven city to experience local flavour.  The crew went to one of the secondary entrances which took them to a well, some 30’ across with a stone staircase that spiralled into the depths. Warm, dry air wafted upward.  The stairs descended 100’ and opened onto a large thoroughfare busy with dwarves and other races walking to and fro. Building facades carved out of stone rose 40 to 50’. Homes, storefronts, inns and eateries all line this main artery called Mine Street.  Following the marshals directions, they ducked into side streets, some no more that 5’ wide that took them eastward and toward their destination, the Deerbarrel Inn, the sign obviously designed by a small child or a deranged adult. At Xantharl’s Keep, the good times, they keep on coming.  Yet another giant with delusions of grandeur.  A group of goblins and ogre’s with ‘goblin chuckers’ led by a frost giant launched an attack on the front gate.  Goblins wearing spiked helms were launched via shoulder-mounted trebuchets into the wall and into the village.  One hit (Skithryx) doing damage, both physical and emotional.  Narbeck asked them to patrol the western wall.   The party heard shouts and sword play from the stable, found a contingent of bugbears fighting a cornered Weevil.  “Who are you?”, he asked.  “We are your saviors” was Magdiana’s reply.  Skithryx got a lot of use from his “Hunger of Hagar” spell.  Ronan watched from a safe distance while Magg’s and Chamele battled a bugbear and some bad luck.  He finally fell.  “Hey, we got one!” The weevil was rescued only to be apprehended by the crew.  The frost giant abandoned the attack once he lear...

Hello Luskan.  A black fog and smoke covered city.  Four dead frost giants and a burning great ship rested in the harbor.  The city was full of tales of the giant’s attack on the harbor, and the mysterious wizards who emerged from their ghastly tower and battled the fire giants, setting their longship ablaze.  Rather curious about the tower and the northern part of the city the crew found both areas watched by city guards and thought it best not to be too curious.  Ronan had a run of good luck at the card table.  The overall impression of Luskan being damp and dingy, our adventurers left for Mirabar the next day. On their way to Mirabar they passed a party of 5 men escorting a wagon going west.  There were a few moments when a fight seemed imminent but without knowing what they were about to fight for, cooler heads prevailed. On arrival at Mirabar, they promptly found Zazspar Bronzefire at the stables and learned of the secret teleportation device. ...

The Crew takes the wounded Beldora the rest of the way to Fireshear and to the repair shop where Thwip Ironbottom works and resides.  Thwip was very relieved to see Beldora safe.  He had been trying to contact her via their sending stones and with no response, began to fear the worst.  Beldora related the attack of the Frost giants, the demands that the Giants made and how she was wounded in the attack.  She awoke in the central square of the town amongst the other injured and dead.  She managed to slip away and left the city to get word of the giant attack to Thwip in Fireshear. Beldora introduced the party to Thwip and he invited them into the back room.  A long conversation followed.  Here are the highlights: Both Thwip and Beldora work for the harpers.
